This work began with my interest in games, trying to make some connections with the way I make drawings and some games. I found the drawing characteristics of the game of marbles very interesting, which I used to play a lot as a child.
This project took shape with a conversation my grandmother had, in which I ask her: "how are you?", To which she responds: "well, every day I feel more like a marble", to which I ask: "How do you like a marble", and the answer I get is "closer to the hole".
This old Mexican saying that my grandmother reminded me of, for me it was a great analogy between death and childhood. Starting with the fact that nobody plays with marbles after a certain age, I felt that creating a link between these two ideas would result in something powerful. I then take on the task of acquiring a human bone, bone as the last residue that we all leave, to create marbles with this material. The work takes up the game of marbles and invites the viewer to play with them.
